Job description
Minimum requirements
- PhD in Anthropology or Development Studies, or related discipline.
- 5 years teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Track record of graduated Honours and Masters students.
- Teaching experience of large undergraduate classes, including online and blended learning approaches.
- At least 5 publications in accredited national and international journals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good planning and administration skills.
- Academic monograph, published or nearly published.
- Involvement in local and international research networks.
- Hold a critical and multi-disciplinary approach to anthropology, African studies and development studies.
- Must be able to engage with one or more of the themes of focus of UJ Anthropology and Development studies.

- NRF rating.
- Graduated PhD students.
