Job description

Finance expenditure department has a vacant post for a Supplier Evaluator.

Responsibilities:  
  • On-board new suppliers, amend existing suppliers and activate existing suppliers on Oracle.
  • Conduct comprehensive supplier vetting using LexisNexis
  • Prepare and provide supplier supporting documents for Procurement Tender Committee
  • Prepare and submit the following reports for management meeting
-Amendments
-New suppliers
-Credit applications
  • Maintains and updates the current Approved Supplier Database as and when supplier changes are necessary
  • Maintains potential supplier database
  • Compile supplier data for various internal, external and B-BBEE Audits
  • Conduct necessary site visits
  • Manage supplier performance by engaging various departments and suppliers
  • Take full responsibility in correcting problems
  • Provide regular feedback to internal and external customers
  • Maintains clear communication, keep stakeholders up to date about progress on projects
  • Displays a positive and professional image to the stakeholders at all times, maintains composure in difficult situations.
  • Inter-action with End-users 

Minimum requirements

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Finance or similar/ Certificate at NQF (6) with 3years job related experience.
  • Knowledge of the B-BBEE Code and Preferential Procurement principles
  • Demonstrated experience in working on SCM Modules and Supplier Vetting tools will be advantageous
  • Data analysis experience
  • Experience in procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract negotiation
