Job description

The College of Business and Economics is recruiting a Secretary to support the Director: School of Management in the execution of his/her duties. Set within a fast-paced environment, this role demands outstanding planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities: 
  • Managing Director’s Diary
  • Controlling the Director’s office budget
  • Managing all documentation
  • Making national and international travel arrangements
  • Preparing documentation for meetings including compiling minutes of meetings
  • Managing special events related to the Director’s office
  • Compiling of reports
  • Arranging refreshments for guests
  • Keeping office equipment functioning and in good working order
  • Liaise with other departments and Schools within the College
  • Any other reasonable request by the Director
  • Coordinate administrative activities of Departments in the School of Management

Minimum requirements

  • A relevant Diploma at NQF level 6
  • Minimum of 3 years’ secretarial experience within a higher education institution
  • Proven computer skills in Windows and MS Office
