Job description
The Council of the University of Johannesburg has declared the University as a mandatory vaccination site as per the applicable policy ((https://www.uj.ac.za/covid-19/). All applications and offers of employment is dependent upon compliance with the said policy.
- Lecturing at under and postgraduate level in the Property Valuation and Management discipline with special reference to property valuation, property finance, property portfolio management, property management and property law subject specific modules.
- Conduct research in the field of property and real estate and regularly publish in accredited academic journals.
- Participate in identified community outreach projects.
- Perform administrative duties as instructed by the HOD or Programme Leader.
- Supervise both Honours and Masters students.
Minimum requirements
- A Master's Degree (NQF 9) in a Finance or Property related field.
- An NQF level 8 qualification in Property that is accredited by the SACPVP;Registered with SACPVP as a Professional Valuer or as a Professional Associated Valuer to become a Professional Valuer
- Working knowledge of advanced Finance Software.
- Previous lecturing experience in the relevant subject disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Good time management skills.
- Good planning and organising skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Good conflict management skills.
- Self-driven and a lifelong learner.
- Practical experience in the relevant subject disciplines.
- Proven ability to conduct research.
- Research experience in relevant subject disciplines.
- A PhD qualification in a Finance related field or working towards such qualification
