Job description

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Technology Architecture and Planning at ICS, Enterprise Architects partner with business, business analysts, software and infrastructure engineers to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ICS ecosystem. They are responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives. The incumbent must be a dynamic, flexible and self-motivated person who will provide inter alia the following services:

  • Partner with ICS and the business to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ecosystem.
  • Responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop roadmaps that outline how solutions will be structured in the future.
  • Develop and implement enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
  • Provide design recommendations based on long-term development organisation strategy
  • Development of infrastructure technology principles, standards, and patterns that can be highly leveraged across multiple solutions.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree NQF level 7
  • TOGAF Certification
  • Experience with implementation and support of Solutions Architecture within an Enterprise
  • Working within an EA team
  • Four years EA/Solutions Architecture experience
