Job description
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Technology Architecture and Planning at ICS, Enterprise Architects partner with business, business analysts, software and infrastructure engineers to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ICS ecosystem. They are responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives. The incumbent must be a dynamic, flexible and self-motivated person who will provide inter alia the following services:
- Partner with ICS and the business to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ecosystem.
- Responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
- Develop roadmaps that outline how solutions will be structured in the future.
- Develop and implement enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
- Provide design recommendations based on long-term development organisation strategy
- Development of infrastructure technology principles, standards, and patterns that can be highly leveraged across multiple solutions.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree NQF level 7
- TOGAF Certification
- Experience with implementation and support of Solutions Architecture within an Enterprise
- Working within an EA team
- Four years EA/Solutions Architecture experience
- High Attention to detail
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills
- Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
- Project management and leadership skills are essential
- Experience in architecting ICT and cloud infrastructure
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Experience in software engineering and design architecture
- Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and technical resources
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
