Job description
- Management of Mineral processing Laboratory according to the relevant procedure on a daily basis
- Manage, maintain and repair equipment to ensure effective running of the workshop/laboratory
- Preparation and supervision of student practical experiments/laboratory sessions
- Support for research projects and activities in the Department of Metallurgy
- Ensure that occupational health and safety regulations are followed to minimise risks
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgy
- Minimum of 2 years industrial experience in metallurgical laboratory
- Knowledge of Extraction metallurgy
- Competency in Mineral Processing
- Good communication skills
- Masters candidate, knowledge of procurement
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
