Job description
- Teaching at undergraduate level in the areas of Neuro Developmental Learning Needs, Teaching Studies and Education Studies
- Teaching on post-graduate level in the field of Inclusive education and Special Needs (ADE Remedial Education; PGDip Inclusive Education)
- Research supervision of postgraduate students in Inclusive Education, Special Needs Education and Educational Psychology
- Research publications
- Leading and managing research projects in the fields of Inclusive Education and Special Needs Education
- Administration related to teaching, supervision, research and community engagement
- Development of modules within blended learning and assessment practices with a focus on decolonialism.
Minimum requirements
- An appropriate PhD or DEd degree
- Experience of teaching in higher education
- Accredited research output in the field on national and/or international level
- Successfully supervised Master’s students.
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
- Excellent teaching skills and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate with colleagues and outside stakeholders
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for initial teacher education and Educational Psychology
- Experience in the integration of ICT in teaching and learning as well as electronic assessment techniques (using e.g. Blackboard).
- Knowledge of at least one African language
- Ability to secure research funding
- Ability to to develop national and international research collaboration.
