Job description

- Lead a teaching and learning support team on the training and advising to all internal stakeholders
- Plan and co-ordinate projects on teaching and learning supported by educational technologies
- Find synergies and foster collaboration across support divisions and the faculties with relevance to CAT activities
- Be up to date with the scholarship of teaching, learning and design in the higher education context
- Analyse and report on large and diverse data sets related to teaching and learning
- Identify trends, conceptualise opportunities, and find solutions to challenges in varied teaching and learning contexts
Minimum requirements
- A Doctoral degree;
- More than five years’ experience with online teaching and learning, either as an academic lecturer or within professional academic support;
- A conceptual understanding of online teaching and learning, familiarity with current literature, and having a growth mindset;
- Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills, and proven ability to write high level proposals and reports;
- Experience on the use of large data sets within a higher education context; and
- Evidence of leading diverse teams in the implementation of innovative learning technologies.
- Experience in working with one or more statistical packages.
- Skills in using data visualisation tool/s.
- Understanding of contemporary educational learning theories.
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
- Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal language and communication skills.
- Committed to be a pro-active team player and willing to share knowledge and information.
- Experience in the higher education environment.
- Involvement and experience in research, report writing, and research projects.
- Knowledge of learning design principles.
- Understanding of online learning theories and material development.
