Job description
- Lead existing or new research groups.
- Secure and manage internal and external research funds.
- Teaching in Physiology and/or Zoology (undergraduate and Honours level).
- Administrative duties as required by the HOD.
- Conduct research and supervise postgraduate students (Masters and Doctoral).
- Network with industry and research institutions.
- Community service and advancing of the discipline.
Minimum requirements
- Academic qualifications: PhD (Zoology) or equivalent qualification.
- Established and sustained research output in peer reviewed journals.
- Proven record in securing external research funds.
- Steer research project/s independently.
- Proven track record of supervising both Masters and Doctoral students to completion.
- Teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Proven record of national/international collaboration.
- Specialization in one of the existing research fields.
- Academic qualifications: PhD (Zoology) or equivalent qualification.
- Established and sustained research output in peer reviewed journals.
- Proven track record of supervising both Masters and Doctoral students to completion.
- Proven record of securing external research funds.
- Teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Proven record of national/international collaboration.
- Specialization in one of the existing research fields.
- NRF-rating (highly recommended)
- Involvement with 4IR-related research and/or teaching and learning.
- Expertise and experience in course and curriculum innovation in higher education.
