Job description
- Manage Operations of Johannesburg Business School Hospitality and oversee new business developments in relation to Food and Beverages service provided by TheKerzner@UJ
- Ensure the optimal and productive utilization of the facility is maintained at all times
- Product development and marketing
- Host regular staff meetings
- Annual Goal setting, strategies and implementation thereof
- Recruitment staff
- Training and development of staff
- Performance Management
- Oversee employee relations and staff well-being
- Ensure that the needs of the clients are understood and exceeded
- Ensure events, facilities are marketed
- Liaise with Academic HoD: Hospitality Management around entrepreneurship development
- Liaise with UJ Clientele
- Liaison with industry partners
- Ensure that financial controls are in place and maintained
- Financial reporting
- Preparation of budgets
- Product and Pricing strategy
- Managing the unique opportunities for Work- Integrated Learning-WIL, internships and entrepreneurship development
- Facilitate optimal learning experience in WIL
Minimum requirements
- Degree (NQF 7) in Hospitality or related field
- 3 years’ experience in Food and Beverage Management, Banqueting
- A minimum of 3 years' management experience
- Experience in managing a Budget of a division/unit
- Proficient in MS Office Package
