Position Summary

Job description
- Participate in the development and implementation of the departmental and institutional marketing strategy.
- Execute a results-driven social media strategy.
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
- Attend events and produce live social media content.
- Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
- Collaborate with marketing team to create a social media calendar.
- Research current trends and audience preferences in order to create relevant content.
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, enquiries, and comments.
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
- Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.
- Facilitate training on proficient and responsible social media use for staff and students.
- Develop and implement an optimal posting schedule٫ taking into consideration metrics and customer engagement.
- Support and assist with marketing and brand projects or events that are tailored to UJ’s main audiences: learners, parents, teachers, employers, academics.
Minimum requirements
- Degree in Marketing and/or Communication or other relevant qualification.
- 2 Years' experience in marketing and social media.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Power point, Email and social media platforms
- Resourceful, innovative and proactive
- Self-driven and with a well-developed sense of responsibility
- Ability to work in a team, but also independently
- Project Management skills
- Experience in Secondary or Tertiary Education Environment
