Job Description:  
 
  • The Faculty Administration Office is one of the divisions within JBS. JBS is actively recruiting for two Programme Managers to join its dynamic team.
  • The Programme Manager role is the operational coalface of the Faculty Administration Department, acting as the central authority for coordinating and mobilising multiple processes and resources while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and creative programmes in line with client demands.
 
Responsibilities: 
 
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Ensure effective client liaison and stakeholder management.
  • Professional programme administration and delivery of programmes, including logistic and coordination activities.
  • Management of faculty and programme resources.
  • Monitoring of programme evaluation and feedback.
  • Adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with delegates on the various programmes
  • Address and resolve issues and escalations

Minimum requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Business Management, or any relevant qualification at NQF7 or equivalent.
  • At least three years’ work experience in a professional services environment.
  • Understanding of the educational environment, preferably higher education.
  • Experience in stakeholder and programme management.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

  • Accountability and ownership of the student experience from registration to graduation.
  • Ability to execute with high attention to detail.
  • Resilience and adaptability to trouble-shoot complex programmes.
  • Must have the ability to compile and consolidate data into in-depth reports.

  • Must have the ability to make on the spot decisions to ensure student value chain is maintained.
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple project management and prioritise deliverables.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, and coordinate multiple inputs with tight deadlines, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to represent academic programmes to potential students, specifically the PGDIP programme.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in terms of student relations.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in student service spotlight professionally.
 
Recommendations:
 
  • Previous experience as a Programme Manager at a business school.
  • Previous experience in delivering academic programmes for adult students within a management education environment.
  • Knowledge of online Learning Management Systems.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles with programme delivery experience.
