Job description
- Liaison with the academics and leadership team of the Department
- Planning, implementing and directing the NSP programmes and SLPs (short learning programmes)
- Overseeing and monitoring policies and procedures related to NSP
- Financial management of NSP, including developing and managing the annual NSP budgets and debt management
- Overseeing and managing daily operations
- Programme development
- Programme coordination
- Programme marketing
- Managing support staff
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors Degree or relevant (NQF 7) in Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of working experience in the Higher Education environment.
- Strong business development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good conflict management skills.
- Good leadership and collaborative skills
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Leadership and navigation

- Experience in the Higher Education environment
- Understanding of the HRM and Industrial Psychology fields
- Five years or more experience working in HR, education, learning and development, or consulting, an advantage.
- Experience working with management across levels within an organisation, e.g. from junior to executive level
- Strong academic administration skills
- Knowledge of UJ academic and administrative policies and procedures, rules, and regulations
- Experience on UJ support systems (e.g. ITS's, MAMS, UJ LMS-Moodle, Oracle)
