Job description
- Developing a research pipeline and undertaking research projects in Accountancy related fields and stimulating multidisciplinary research.
- Assisting in the implementation of the departmental research strategy performing and encouraging scientific research and fulfilling a mentoring role.
- Supervision of Postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and Doctoral level.
- Lecturing on an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Coordination and/or development of modules and programmes.
Minimum requirements
- A relevant Doctoral degree (NQF 10) in Accounting or its related disciplines.
- Good track record of high impact research as demonstrated among others by publications and citations in recognised journals and conference proceedings.
- Proven supervision record at Masters’ and Doctoral level.
- Working experience in the Higher Education environment.
- Knowledgeable in the field of Accountancy.
- Proven experience in developing societal impact, evidenced by national and global visibility.
- Computer Literacy.
- Proficiency in English.
- Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal relationships and a team player.
- Analytical and critical thinking.
- CA (SA) or CIMA.
- Multidisciplinary research focus.
- Experience with higher degrees administration and management.
