Job Description:
 
The incumbent is responsible for all aspects pertaining to the coordination and execution of marketing campaigns and plans, in support of the faculty and university’s marketing strategy.
 
To ensure that the marketing activities of a faculty are carried out operationally as delineated by the Dean and the HFA.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Marketing of all law programmes to all stakeholders (undergraduate and postgraduate studies) and the non-formal (CEP) programmes through various media tools
  • Handling coordination of the branding process and photography services of prestige evenings
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing of the UJ Open Day for the Faculty
  • Coordinating newspaper advertisements
  • Handle all social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, ad spend, marketing metrics
  • Participating in information sessions of various UJ projects and Orange Carpet Campaign on behalf of the faculty
  • Annually inviting law firms to interact with students at Law Career Days on articles of clerkship, legal skills and vacation work
  • Coordinating branding and information for public lectures, symposiums, law updates and other faculty events
  • Assisting visits to schools to recruit top quality students for the Faculty of Law
  • Participate in exhibitions to market non-formal (CEP) programmes
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining marketing collateral with relevant information
  • Any other marketing related task delegated by the HFA or the Dean

Minimum requirements

  • A relevant 3-years degree (NQF Level 7)
  • 3 - 5 years’ marketing working experience within a higher education institution
  • 3 years’ extensive related experience in academic administration and management of staff /student data
  • 3 years’ extensive experience in MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Strong project coordination and attention to detail
