Job description
- Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Conduct and publish research in accredited publications
- Curriculum development
- Supervise at postgraduate level
- Course administration
Minimum requirements
- PhD in English literature or language studies or applied linguistics
- 5 years higher education teaching experience
- Minimum of 3 accredited publications
- Previous course administration experience at AP level
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to teach across the curriculum in both English Literary Studies and courses on writing skills development
- Expertise in any type of literature in English as well as language acquisition skills
- Good planning and administration skills
- Excellent people skills
- The ability to teach English as a second language is a bonus.
- May be required to travel between campuses
- 5 Years of experience in a Higher Education environment
- Must take part in departmental and faculty events, committees, and meetings
- NRF rating at AP level.
