Job description
- Provide academic leadership
- Fulfill academic citizenship and leadreship roles
- Teach and supervise postgraduate students
- Provide research leadership
- Develop international corporation
- Engage with industry and/or other sectors and secure funding for research
- Remain current on digital transformation
- Engage the public sphere on his /her area of expertise
- Forge and maintain internal and external professional networks
Minimum requirements
- A Doctoral degree (NQF 10) in a relevant field
- A track record in international cooperation
- A track record in teaching at Masters level
- An established list of completed supervision of Masters and Doctoral projects.
- A trak record of engaging with industry and in securing industry funding
- An outstnading current publishing record in the field of specificification with a track record of publishing in high impact factor journals
- NRF rating or the ability to meet the NRF rating requirements to apply within the next cycle
- Deep understading of the South African and African business education
- Clear track record of high-level academic citizenry
- Good understanding of business school education and higher education more generally
- Ability to work with academic faculty and to play the role of mentor to more junior faculty
- Ability to relate to the student experience of studying towards a postgraduate qualification
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage in innovative and novel problem solving.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt communication to a range of audiences.
- Proven ability to work with international partners.
- Ten (10) years experience in higher education
- An NRF Rating would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of higher education regulations, policies and procedures,
- Commercial/corporate business experience will serve as a recommendation
- A teaching statement (include at least 2 student evaluators)
- A research staternent (including future research direction)
- One published paper
- One (published or unpublished) paper reflecting current research work
