Job description
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Teach, develop and manage study material for allocated modules
- Supervise postgraduate students' research and supervised research projects of postgraduate students successfully
- Substantially published articles in accredited, peer reviewed journals
- Ability to raise research funding internally and externally
- A well-developed quantitative and/or qualitative methodology skills
- Forge and maintain external professional networks and international collaboration
- Fulfil leadership roles in the department
- Be involved in community engagement
- Being involved in all departmental academic and administrative activities (e.g. invigilation, participation in departmental and faculty meetings)
Minimum requirements
- Relevant doctoral degree with at least two years industry experience.
- A minimum of 3 years academic experience within a Higher Education institution.
- Publication in multiple accredited journal articles
- Ability to work as member of the department and faculty
- Ability to be a flexible team player with good team-oriented skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for teaching, research and community engagement
- Teaching in multidisciplinary fields
- Sound problem solving and decision making skills
- Teaching experience in a Higher Education institution
- Track record of postgraduate research supervision and publications in the relevant field Preferably NRF rated
- Proven record of engagement with the scholarship of teaching and learning Innovative teaching and research techniques incorporating technology
- Research specialization that articulates well with the existing interest of the department
- Evidence of research outputs and proven track record of postgraduate supervision at Masters level and Doctoral level.
