Job description
- Teaching at undergraduate level in the areas of Neuro Developmental Learning Need and Education Studies
- Teaching on post-graduate level in the field of ethical professional practice
- Research supervision of postgraduate students in the field of Educational Psychology
- Participation in the department’s community engagement work in schools and clinical supervision of the Honours and Masters Educational Psychology students
- Administration related to teaching, supervision, research and community engagement
- Development of modules within technology assisted teaching, learning and assessment practices.
Minimum requirements
- Masters in Educational Psychology
- Registered as Educational Psychologist with the HPCSA
- Practical experience of psychological and career assessment
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
- Excellent teaching skills and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate with colleagues and outside stakeholders.
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for initial teacher education and Educational Psychology
- Experience in the integration of ICT in teaching and learning as well as electronic assessment techniques (using e.g. Blackboard).
- Knowledge of at least one African language
- Teaching experience, preferably at a higher education institution
- Registered for DEd or PhD.
