Job description
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A THREE MONTHS CONTRACT
- To maintain the reticulation and drainage of water, air and other gases by assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures throughout the university, undertaking plumbing jobs & reporting thereon.
- To perform electrical maintenance, installation, and repairs throughout the Campus and all related properties and infrastructure.
Minimum requirements
- Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing
- Trade Test Certificate in Electrician
- NQF Level 4 Qualification (Matric or equivalent)
- Three to Five years’ appropriate experience in plumbing works.
- Three to Five years’ appropriate experience in electrical works.
- A Valid Driver’s License
- High attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure and independent

- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Critical and analytical skills
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks
- Collegial and emotionally intelligent
- Prior experience in the Higher Education Institution
