Job description
- Copy and original cataloguing of print and electronic materials
- Maintaining of Local holdings on WorlCat
- Keeping authority files up-to date
- Undertaking special projects as required
- Cataloguing and classification of UJ e-Theses and special collections
- Maintaining the integrity of catalogue
Minimum requirements
- Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of two years’ recent experience in cataloguing OR
- Minimum of two years’ recent experience with working with metadata
- Excellent understanding of RDA
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independent
- Computer Literacy
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Sierra library system
- Experience in academic library
