Position Summary

Job description
- Recruiting and supervising master’s and doctoral students and post-doctoral research fellows
- Initiating, applying for funding and managing research projects aligned with the focus of the Centre
- Playing a significant role in the management of the Faculty journal housed at CERT, Education as Change
- Liaising closely with the SARCHi Chair in Community, Adult and Worker Education (CAWE)
- Arrange seminars, colloquiums and symposiums based on the Centre’s research and aims and present at local and international conferences
- Involvement in teaching at mainly postgraduate level
- Providing academic leadership within the Faculty of Education and participation in faculty and institutional committee structures when required
- Staff development and mentoring of researchers and fellows
- International collaboration and participation in research projects
- Overseeing the development and execution of the Centre’s strategic plan in line with the University’s vision, mission and strategic objectives
- Day to day management of the Centre
- Administration related to teaching, supervision, research and community engagement.
- Overseeing quality in relation to the Centre’s core activities
- Promoting the reputation and standing of the Centre
