Position Summary

Job description
- Teach undergraduate and honours courses.
- Supervise students.
- Publish original research.
- Provide management support to the operations of the Institute (operational planning and reporting, liaison with external stakeholders).
Minimum requirements
- PhD in Archaeology or Palaeoanthropology
- Three years' teaching experience within a higher education environment
- Research experience in the palaeo-sciences
- Postgraduate supervision record
- Research experience in archaeological indigenous knowledge systems
- Academic output reporting systems (Scopus, inCites)
- Project management
- Report writing
- Palaeo Microscopic analysis
- Academic publishing and bibliometrics and in particular:
- Knowledge of Web of Science, InCites and Scopus
- Must possess general office skills including:
- Excellent English language skills
- MS tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Good written and Verbal skills
- Planning and time keeping
- Report compilation
- Knowledge of the field of online education and academic interventions in higher education
- Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of 21st-century student profiles and needs.
