Job description
- Compilation of Financial Statements and liaise with Internal and External auditors and other Stakeholders
- Compile tax submissions to ensure the institution complies with Taxation legislation
- Implementation of effective processes, support, and coordination for the compilation of the AFS.
- Implementation of new Accounting standards and Taxation updates
- Monitor compliance to all other relevant internal processes and legislations
- Build and maintain strong relationship with our stakeholders.
- Understand the environment and needs of stakeholders.
- Provide Accounting and Taxation technical support and guidance to stakeholders.
- Test and Implement New and Improved systems/modules
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger
Minimum requirements
- CA(SA)
- Four years’ experience in accounting and/or financial management with knowledge of finance principles and procedures
- Knowledge and experience with IFRS with demonstrated experience in AFS compilation and audit experience
- Three years of Taxation experience
- Three years of engaging with internal, external auditors and stakeholders
- ERP experience
- Oracle, ITS and IDU system experience an advantage
- Higher educational environment experience an advantage
- Experience in Organisational structure maintenance an advantage
