Position Summary

Job description
• Analyse UJ Sports data.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to conduct market research.
• Create promotional/marketing materials.
• Act as the marketing liaison for UJ Sports.
• Develop branded materials such as posters, flyers, and social media graphics.
• Constant engagement with UJ Sport supporters through social media.
• Sharing achievements through social media.
• Playing an active role in raising funds for UJ Sports.
• Plan, implement and execute campaigns to ensure that targeted sponsorship activities are completed.
• Assist clubs, divisions, and associated entities to develop sponsorship plans and processes for implementation.
• Collaborate with UJ management in executing fundraising efforts.
• Managing budget and other resources needed to implement and maintain marketing and communication campaigns service.
• Keeping abreast of the environment, developments and trends in the internal and external marketing areas.
Minimum requirements
- Relevant Bachelors Degree in Marketing or equivalent
- A valid Drivers licence
- Project management qualification
- Three (3) to five (5) years' marketing and communication experience within the discipline
- Relevant experience in a university environment
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of university systems, structures, policies and procedures
- Experience in the Sport environment advantageous
- Fundraising knowledge
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills (networking and relationship building)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Good administrative skills
- A high level of creativity and originality
- Knowledge of web tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Manage SEO/SEM
- Know how to use ad server tools
